7th International Logistics Summer School
we take great pleasure in inviting you to the 7th International Logistics Summer School. This year’s summer school entitled: “Next Generation Logistics: Creating New Solutions” will take place from 16 – 22 June 2019 in Celje Slovenia.
This year we promise you a unique experience. We will follow a case study approach to learn about new technologies and practises that will lead logistics and supply chain management in the future. With company Štore Steel d.o.o. we have prepared a number of logistical cases, and participants will have a variety of tools to help them solve their problems.
Lectures, exercises and workshops will be performed by professors from the Faculty of Logistics, prof. dr. Tone Lerher and Assoc. prof. Matjaž Knez. The subjects will be complementary to the content, the first will cover the field of Intralogistics and Storage 4.0, the other the Sustainable trends in logistics in transport. Three teaching assistants from the Faculty of Logistics UM will also participate in the implementation with various software solutions and different tools.
The summer school program also includes a visit to the working environment of Štore Steel d.o.o. We will also travel to Graz, where we will visit the Technical institute for logistics and company Schaefer, where we’ll have an opportunity to see and learn about the existing solutions that are on the market or will be in the near future.
Given the very positive responses of participants of the summer school in the previous years (here is a video from last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMZD5vMNl-M), I believe that this year’s event will be even better. We promise you an unforgettable week at our faculty.
