About the 3D-CIRCULAR Project

3D-CIRCULAR is an innovative EU-funded project that brings together 33 leading organizations from 14 European countries to accelerate the EU’s twin green and digital transition. The project combines deep-tech innovations with circular economy principles and aims to reskill and upskill the European workforce through advanced master’s and doctoral programs.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher // PhD candidate to join the 3D-CIRCULAR project. The candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of circular economy, with a focus on innovative solutions that merge deep-tech approaches and sustainability. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and international environment and collaborate with leading experts from academia and industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct doctoral research in the field of circular economy.

• Collaborate with project partners in developing innovative solutions for sustainable growth.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of next-generation educational programs.

• Contribute to scientific publications, reports, and dissemination activities to promote project results.

• Engage in international collaboration and knowledge exchange within the consortium.

Requirements

• Education: Completed Master’s degree or equivalent university diploma (eligible for PhD enrollment) in technical or natural sciences (e.g., engineering, environmental sciences, materials science, or related fields).

• Academic performance: Minimum average grade of 8.5/10 (or equivalent) in previous studies.

• Skills:

  • Good knowledge of circular economy principles.

  • Interest in deep-tech innovations and sustainability.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage.

• Personal attributes:

  • Proactive, innovative, and team-oriented approach.

  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment.

  • Commitment to lifelong learning and creating measurable impact in the EU.
