International students symposium Logistics & International Business”

8. nov
12. nov

We’re optimistic that this years’ 11th International students symposium on Logistics & International Business will be an in-person event.

This year the School of Transportation and Logistics of Istanbul University will be our host.

We all know that Istanbul is a fascinating city and one of the greatest cities in the world where you can see a modern western city combined with a traditional eastern city.

So save the date and mark your calendars for 8 to 12 November 2021.

This year’s symposium’s focus is »Modern logistics: Mitigation and adaptation to new challenges« since we’re all wondering how the sectors of logistics and supply chain management will change.

What will the post-covid era bring? Are we putting an end to globalized supply chains? Is automation still the wave of the future? Can we assume that risk management will dictate the supply chain? Is the future laying in the deployment of new technologies?

Join us and prepare the papers on the above theme. The selected papers will be published in the Journal of Transportation and Logistics.

About the symposium

The International Students’ Symposium on Logistics and International Business (ISSLIB) offers the possibility to young students from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds to gain first experiences in presenting and discussing results from their own projects in front of an international audience. Beside the practice oriented presentations of the students there are further lectures of professors of the cooperating universities as well as excursions to companies to get a deeper insight in actual topics of companies.

The ISSLIB was developed seven years ago in a close cooperation of the University of Maribor in Celje (Slovenia)  as well as the HIWL (University of Supply Chain Management and International Business), the university of the BVL (German Logistics Association) at the BVL Campus in Bremen. Every year the location of the event will change so that there is a possibility to experience different universities, companies, cities and countries.

Lokacija dogodka se vsako leto spremeni, tako da lahko študenti doživijo različne univerze, podjetja, mesta in države.
