International research collaboration is more than exchanging knowledge. It brings new perspectives, deepens research and connects expertise across institutions, disciplines and industries.

At the Faculty of Logistics, University of Maribor, we recently welcomed Prof. Dr. Philipp Troeber from Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences (Germany), whose work also connects academia with the automotive industry through Audi.

During his visit, we explored some of the key challenges shaping automotive logistics: cost pressures, security of supply, the transition to electromobility and the growing impact of artificial intelligence.

But one message stood out: the future of research depends on collaboration.
