CEEPUS #TASA Network’s 2nd Summer School in Győr, Hungary

Between July 7 and 14, 2025, Széchenyi István University hosted the second TASA Summer School in the city of Győr, Hungary, bringing together twenty-six students and underscoring how effective and inspiring international cooperation can be.

Focusing on the theme “The Future of Tourism – Digital Tools and Technological Solutions”, the summer school offered a forward-thinking program that explored digital opportunities in tourism, online marketing, artificial intelligence, presentation skills, project management, and online presence through engaging lectures and hands-on workshops delivered by experts from both academia and industry.

The central element of the summer school was a case study project provided by Aquaworld Resort Budapest. Working in five international teams, students tackled real-world challenges such as website benchmarking, developing services for Generation Z, family-focused communication strategies, and TikTok-based marketing approaches. Throughout the week, they received guidance through academic consultations. Their final presentations were evaluated by an expert jury based on creativity, feasibility, and practical impact — and clearly demonstrated the knowledge and skills gained during the week.

Beyond the classroom, the program included a range of cultural and social activities. Participants took part in field trips that blended professional learning with cultural exploration. Highlights included visits to Aquaworld Resort Budapest, the regional tourism organization VisitBalaton 365 in Keszthely, guided tours of Győr, the Benedictine Archabbey and Herbal Garden in Pannonhalma, and the Castle of Mosonmagyaróvár.

One of the participants, Ankush Radhakrishna, reflected on his experience:

“Participating in the CEEPUS exchange was truly a life-changing experience! From day one, I was welcomed into a diverse group of students and professors from all over Europe, and by the end, we felt like one big family. 💚 We explored new topics in tourism and smart technologies, shared ideas across cultures, and learned just as much outside the classroom during field trips and group activities. 📚✈️ CEEPUS gave me not only academic growth, but also lifelong friendships and the confidence to keep developing personally and professionally. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something more than just a summer course!”

The #TASA Summer School was a truly enriching international learning opportunity. We thank all our lecturers, partners, supporters, and students for making this event such a memorable and impactful experience.
